After years as a molecular biologist, Jasmeet Singh grew increasingly frustrated with the lack of creativity as companies scaled. A creative at heart, he thrived in startup environments but found the corporate world stifling. One day, he walked into work and quit on the spot, without a clear plan for the future. Photography had been a passion since the 7th grade, so he began freelancing, offering headshots at just $40 to build my portfolio. Utilizing my analytical background, I taught myself SEO and website design to increase visibility. This strategy attracted a diverse clientele, including Fortune 500 companies and CEOs. Expanding my services to dating headshots, he eventually opened a second studio in Sacramento, offering weddings, family portraits, and more. This journey from science to photography has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to blend analytical precision with creative expression.
